Alford_lights

I took this picture with my Nikon D40. I took this on the way back from my grandmother's house. It wasn't easy to get a quality picture out of this. This was passing the Natick mall I was going to take a picture of the normal Mall. But I thought that it would be a boring picture. I noticed all the lights, and how many different colors there were. So I wanted it to kind of look like a painting. So while I was taking the picture I moved the camera a little bit. It took a while to get a good picture because they came out dark. But it finally did come out good.

  1. I like how you captured this photo. You were able to capture the multiple colors in the lights which caused a cool design for the photo. I also like how there are multiple things to look at in this photo and theres not one main focal point. I also like the angle to took for the photo, it makes the lights look like they are curving down to the bottom of the photo. The only thing I suggest is to crop out the bottom part of the photo because it is dark and there is nothing to see, so it distracts the viewer from the main focus of the photo. Good job!

  2. I really like this photo for many reasons. First I like how many different shades of color in this photo because it adds variety to your photo. I like how the beams of light in this photo have different sizes of light reflected. I also like how each light beam has its own width because it makes your photo interesting to look at. I like how the cluster of light beams towards the left frame of the photo has lines that are almost identical and the waves of the light bouncing in that cluster imitate the same pattern of direction and shape. I really like how the rays of light towards the middle frame up to the top frame getting thicker and thicker as they go higher up in the photo because it draws your eyes up to the top of the photo. I also like how the thicker light beams near the top look like metal electrical wires because it makes your photo look interesting and it also makes your photo have a textured like effect. I like how you can see also the textured light beams because it also creates a sort of brush stroke effect to your photo. I also like that there are many shades of blues, greens, purples, reds, orange, and yellow in this photo because it makes your photo look interesting. I also like how the light beams cross at travel across to the left side of the photo because it makes the photo have a sort of patterned effect like ocean waves following the same direction. My favorite part of this photo would be the different textures and details of the light beams because it really draws your eyes into the photo and observe the extravagant patterns and details of the photo. I think with the light beams having different textures and patterns the essence of the photo is very energetic and full of potential. I think if the light beams were all the same your photo wouldn't have the wild and vibrant feel to the photo. I like how there are so many things in the photo because it really gets your attention rather than losing focus on other things in the photo.I think with all the light casts visible distorts all of the distracting objects in the photo. I think this photo doesn't need to be changed at all since there aren't any visible distracting objects in the photo. Nice job, keep up the good work.

    1. Alex, thank you for all the compliments. I did really try to get a good diversity of color in the picture. I had to move the camera to get a good blend. I wasn't sure how fast I was suppose to move the camera. I had to take like three pictures to get it like this. Thank you again for the compliments.
