First photo was taken by Canon AE-1, which was produced in 1976, 40 years ago. Second photo was taken by Nikon D-7100, produced in 2013, three years ago. The the main project and composition of these two photos is the same, but the styles are definitely different. Which is called "Retro" and "Modern". The blurry and low-fidelity image of the first one gives a really nostalgic feeling, the light beam on the photo is unreal but special. And the second one gives a sharp and clear image, just like what human eyes see, which is totally the opposite style. Actually I like both of these two photos, they have their own irreplacable feature.
I really like these photos for a number of reasons. First thing I like about in the black and white photo on the top is the grainy-like quality of the photo because it makes the photo look like it was taken 40 years ago. I also like how the lighting in the photo is because it looks as though there is a spotlight or a stage light shining down on the figure. I also like how the top photo looks as though the figure is life sized a bit because from the angle you took the photo creates a nice illusion for the little figure. The only few things I would have changed in the black and white photo would be to move the headphones on the desk in the photo and also move the wire on the left frame of the photo and maybe not show the bed as well because it distracts the focus of the figure in the little chair a bit and it takes away the still life theme of your photo. I think if there weren't other objects in the background the photo would have a bit of a smooth focus directly on the figure sitting in the mini chair. Other than that I like the vintage look to the black and white film print photo. In the second photo I like how it is much different from the black and white photo. I like how the angle of the photo is taken at a vertical angle compared to the black and white photo which is taken at a horizontal angle. I also like how the quality of the color photo is smooth and gentle because it makes the subjects of the photo smooth and you can see the details very nicely and clearly. I also like how the light source is visible directly at the front of the photo and you can see the light casting onto the figure in the chair because it makes the skin tones of the figure have a nice shadowy and vibrant reflection on the photo. I also like how the light on the figure reflects more colors and draws more light onto the body, hair, and the face. I also like how some of the hair on the figure is dark and shadowy because it makes the photo have a nice contrast and exposure to it. I also like how the eyes of the figure are in focus because it is important for this photo. I also like the shadows on the wall because it adds a nice contrast of light and dark light on the background of the photo. The only things I would change in the color photo would be to crop out the glass table in the very front bottom frame of the photo because it distracts the focus of the figure in the chair. I also would have moved the speaker and the light sensor out of the frame of the photo because it also distracts the focus of the figure sitting on the chair. I think if they weren't in the background of the photo the focus of the figure would be smoother and easier to concentrate on. Other than that I think these photos are interesting. Keep up the good work.
