I took this photo on Friday at school using my Nikon D3200. I captured this photo when I was taking photos for the winter remnants spring anew assignment. I used all natural lighting and no additional flash used in the photo to capture this photo. I used my zoom lens to capture a closer view of the subject in this photo. I liked this one in particular because of a number of reasons. The first thing that I liked about this photo was that the background was blurred out, leaving the fullest attention towards the purple flower in the photo for the main subject. I also like how when I captured this photo I was able to get as much detail as possible of the flower, which in this photo displays textures from the peddles of the flower. I also like how the flower is centered almost perfectly in this photo to allow the viewer to draw their attention into the center of the photo to the main subject, without it in the center it wouldn't grab your eye immediately and you would be searching for the main subject. I also like how the little orange pieces inside the flower are in focus which allows an extra touch of detail for texture in the photo. I also like the how you can see the patterns on the peddles of the flower, which helps make it look more interesting to the viewer as opposed to a photo that was taken completely out of focus with no detail in it. I also like the different options of color in this photo of browns, oranges, greens, blues, purples, whites, and little bits of yellows from the tips of the green sprouts next to the flower. I think that without having these colors in the photo it wouldn't be as interesting without the variety of colors. I think that without having all of these things in the photo it wouldn't be as interesting of a photo as it is.
Mr. Barry I didn't get any comments from last Sunday's post.
