This photo was taken on a sunny afternoon. The cat was on the bed of my host mother, looks very comfortable and clam. He was awake, and noticed that I was there but still kept his eyes closed, he was enjoying his time, and this scene affected me feel pleasent, feel the slow down of the time. And I took this photo to record my feeling. The light in this photo is soft, the blurry close shot shows the distance from lens to the cat. I keep away from cat because I want to keep this peaceful and clam scene.
I really like this photo. I like this photo for many reasons. The first reason why I like this photo is the lighting that was used to capture this photo. The lighting isn't harsh or over exposed at all which helps keep the photo interesting to look at. I also like the positioning in this photo, I like how you have the cat on the bed. I also like how you positioned the shot by having the subject in the center between both sides of the doorframe on the left and right sides of the door, it allows the effect of the door open for you to go in and see the cat on the bed. By having this setup that effect brings your attention directly to the center of the photo where the main subject is. I also like how the light is beaming on the bedknob post closest to the doorway, as well as on the end of the door near the top of it, having the slightest amount of sunlight casting on these two spots in particular makes this photo very interesting and unique. Also the amount of sunlight in this photo clearly gives the viewer the perspective that the photo was indeed taken sometime in the mid-afternoon by the way the light was casting in the room. I also like the many different color options provided in this photo of pinks, blues, golds, browns, reds, greens, blacks, whites, tans, grays, and yellows. By having many options of colors creates a vibrant photo to the viewer as opposed to a photo without much color at all in it. I also like how the foreground is blurred out while the middle and background are in focus, which gives an inside interior-scaped photo look to the viewer. I also like how you can see a reflection through the mirror on the wall, it gives more perspective to the photo for the viewer to see of what is behind the camera's perspective. I also think that your title of the photo fits perfectly with how the photo is represented in this photo, because the mood of the photo is calm and peaceful to view like a painting would be to others. The mood in this photo is definitely peaceful and much more mellow than as opposed to any other photo. The only thing that I would have changed would have been to have cropped a bit of the left side of the door, taking out the door hinge and crack of light through the corner of the doorway. Other than that it is a great photo. Well done and keep up the great work.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your serious comment, I really agree with you about the title part opinion on photo. Sometime the title is more important than photo itself, because a good title can make the viewer think about the situation and mind of photographer when he was taking that photo. Which is the soul of a photo.
