Teddy_Plant Buds

I took this photo when I went out for a walk on Friday afternoon using my Nikon D3200. I used all natural lighting to capture this photo. Of the forty or so photos that I captured, I liked this one in particular for a number of reasons. The first thing that I like about this photo is the lighting in this photo, it isn't harsh at all and it isn't overexposed in any areas of the photo, which helps keep the photo look nice for the viewer. Another thing that I also liked about this photo is that when I went to take this photo that the zoom lens that I used to take the photo had pulled the focus in tightly towards the center of the photo and blurred out the background completely. Another that I like about this photo is the that blurred out of focus background is blurred out so much that it looks very fine and smooth looking texture to the background's texture. I think that if the lens wasn't able to blur out the background the photo's main subject attention towards the blossoming and budding plant wouldn't have gotten the fullest attention to the viewer and would instead make the viewer look everywhere in the photo to find the main subject. Another thing that I also like about this photo is the options of colors in the photo of blues, reds, yellows, grays, browns, pinks, and whites. By having a selection of colors in this photo that isn't overly chromatic or an excessive variety of colors enables the viewer to be able to catch their eye on the colors that stand out the most than from the ones that don't grab the attention as much, for this photo in particular the reds and pinks grab the most attention in this photo. I think that if the colors weren't those options it wouldn't be as dark enough to catch the eye instantly. Another thing that I also like about this photo is how I was able to capture the buddings, on the left side of the buds seem to be equally aligned going down in a line as they flop downwards, I think this an interesting feature for the photo to add an extra touch to the photo. I also like that all the buds in the front are in focus whereas the ones in the back are blurred out and out of focus. By having that in the photo shows the perspective of full detail up close and blurred out in the distance. Another thing that I also like about this photo is that the background isn't overly distracting and that you can see a very slight shadow of trees, but it is not that much to take the viewers attention away from the main subject in this photo. I think that by having all of these things mentioned about this photo allows this photo to be an interesting photo to look at as opposed to a photo with not a lot to look at in the photo.
