I took this photo at my job after closing so nobody was there. Its at wayland community pool. At first the photo was just of the pool then I decided to have the pool be in the background with the pole in focus. Theres a lot of light that is reflected off of different things such as the water, the ceiling, and the pole itself then theres light from the window and the lights. Theres also several colors in this photo.
I like the small depth of field in this photo. The depth of field allows the viewer to focus on the ring in the photo rather than everything in the background. I also like the lighting in the photo and how the lights reflect off the pool. I think the reflections add more detail to the photo. I also like the different colors you were able to capture. Having the different colors adds more depth and realism to the photo than if the photo was just blue. The only thing I would change is your reflection is on the bottom of the ring, it is a bit distracting. Other than that good job!
ReplyDeleteI like this photo for many reasons. First thing I like about this photo is the that the depth of field and focus is shallow because it draws your attention directly into the loop pole. I also like how the exit sign in the far background is out of focus because it takes away the distractions of the different objects in the background. I also like how the background is practically out of focus because it keeps your attention on the loop and the pole in the foreground. I also like how the loop pole is not centered because it brings your eyes away from the background as well. I also like how the shiny metal pole has a reflection through it because it makes your photo more interesting to look at. I also like how the horizon line of the pool isn't completely 100% straight because it makes the perspective of seeing things a bit more different. I also like how the pool lanes are parallel with each other because it adds more boundaries to your photo. I also like how half of the pool lane dividers are parallel to the painted lines of half of the pool and then the underwater painted lines bend after the middle of the photo. I think this makes your photo very interesting because it adds more shapes and direction to your photo. I also like how some of the painted lines in the pool are also different width and sizes because it makes the photo have more dimensions and variety to this photo. I also like how you have a nice mix of color around this photo because it makes your photo have more variety and flavor to your photo. I also like how reflective the pool is because you can see the shape of the inflated roof. I also like how some of the orange patterned lane divider pieces look like they appear to get darker and darker orange as they start getting further and further away from the front of the photo. This makes your photo have a nice contrast of color in this photo. I think with the reflection of the angled roof makes your photo have an interesting dimension and it also draws imaginary lines through the bent painted lines toward the deeper end of the pool. I think the lighting for the most part is pretty good in most areas of this photo which is good. The only thing I would have changed in this photo would have been to reduce the shutter speed or the exposure because you have a few light flares and spots around the surface of the pool on the left side, right side and up from the indoor lights, but it doesn't significantly impact the colors in this photo too much. I think if they were reduced in exposure your photo would have a little bit more contrast and depth to it. I also would have cropped the blurred out diving board in the far right corner because it just slightly distracts the focus of the photo. Other than that, I think this is a great photo. Good job, keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteI like the focus on this photo, it really add more depth in this photo, I also like the reflection on this photo,I can see the water looks really clean and the reflection on this photo looks really clean, it looks really great, I also like the line on this photo, it just keep going and keep going and finally goes to the back of photo, it looks really cool. The floor under the water, the black line were not go straight, instead because of the reflection the black lines were goes right, it was really cool. Really good photo, good job, keep up the good work.
