Over break I didn't do a lot of things but one of the few things I did was go into Boston to support a family friend and my aunt while they crossed the finish line in the Boston Marathon. At this point of the day (around 6:00) I was getting bored of doing nothing so I started taking photos. There are two major reflections both coming from the buildings and both reflecting off of each other. Theres a lot of blue and white in this photo and a little bit of brown. I was looking up at an angle and I had to crop the original photo because there were too many distractions from other mini buildings or a light pole and other things.

I really like this photo. I think that this photo has a lot of great components and quality to it. I like this photo for a number of reasons. The first thing that I really like about this photo is the lighting in this photo, it isn't overly bright which gives the photo a very peaceful look to the viewer. I think that by having the blues in this photo allows it to be peaceful but not a dark and dreary feeling as people would expect of a blue contrast. Another thing that I like about this photo is the background, the background is perfect and doesn't have any distractions at all which enables the viewer to be focused on the important feeling of the photo itself. Another thing that I also like about this photo is the two airplane jet trails in the sky, I like how it is presented in this photo because not only does it add an extra touch of detail and make it look the photo more interesting, it also plays a key component as a pointer to allow your eye to be pulled direct attention to the tall building to the left allowing complete focus to the viewer. I think that without that in the photo and having the jet trail instead go horizontal all the way straight across wouldn't be as interesting of a look for the photo. Another thing that I also like about this photo is how you captured the buildings, I like how you captured the shininess of the windows, because with the lesser amount of light in this photo allows the fullest amount of mirror reflection on the windows of the buildings. I also like how through the window reflections it pulls out the whiteness of the clouds on the farthest corner windows of the building on the left, which allows a great touch to the photo and looks professional. Another thing that I also like about this photo is the mirror reflection of buildings on both of the glassed buildings, I think that by having this in the photo allows more depth to the photo as opposed to a photo of a building without any mirrored reflection through the windows. Lastly I like how you captured the buildings because the lines on the buildings connected to the windows creates a great amount of symmetry to them as well as an interesting pattern to them. I think that without all of these things in this photo it wouldn't be as interesting of a photo. I wouldn't change anything in this photo. Great work and an excellent photo.
ReplyDeleteI really like this photo for many reasons. First, I like how the angle how you took this photo because it allows you to see the three dimensional shapes of the skyscraper tower. I also like how the light source is behind the tower tall buildings because it makes your photo have a silhouette effect around the sides of the buildings, which makes your photo interesting to look at. I also like how the jet contrails are positioned because it directs your eyes toward the skyscrapers rather than away from the buildings. I also like how contrasty the light is in this photo with some parts of this photo has low light, medium light and brighter lighting because it adds more depth and makes the photo have more perspective to your photo. I also like the clouds in this photo because they have different shades of color and it also has different textures as well. I also like how the textures of the clouds are because it makes your photo interesting to look at and it also adds variety to your photo. I also like how shady the sky is because it makes the photo very smooth and calm. I think the exposure of this photo is just right at a medium to low lit photo because it adds more contrast to this photo and it avoids any objects and details of the buildings to be washed out of color and distorted. I also like how the taller building has multiple shades of different colored glass because it really catches your attention and draws your attention to observe the details of your photo and keeps you from looking away from the different objects. I also like how reflective the glass of the buildings are because it makes your photo interesting to look at and it keeps you also focused on the details and textures of the buildings structures. I think with having the window glass reflective adds more dimensions and a natural shadow-like effect to this photo. Having the reflections also makes the photo have more depth and contrast to this photo. I also find the shiny clear window glass on the smaller building to the right of the photo to be interesting as well because when the light is bouncing off it makes the reflection on the windows to have a distorted image and it also bends the shapes of the actual buildings behind the photo. I think the degree of tilt how you took this photo makes your photo have an interesting landscape perspective to the photo, and it makes the photo appealing to look at. I also like how the building has different types of glass textures to it because it keeps your attention on the photo also. I wouldn't change anything in this photo because there aren't any really significant distractions around this photo. Nice job, keep up the good work.
