AlexBrown_Portraits
I chose this portrait out of the other 3 portraits I took for our 4 images of three people Portrait assignment. I decided to choose this photo as this Sunday's post because I think this was my favorite photo I took from the portrait assignment because I love the variety of color in this photo, I like the shutter speed and lighting in this photo because it has a combination of light and dark light in this photo which makes this photo interesting. My favorite part of this photo is the natural shadows and combination of subject focus lighting and dark light casting because it adds good contrast. I also like how they are posed in this portrait photo. I like how they positioned themselves in this three person arranged photo portrait. I also like that they are in complete focus and the are looking cool in the photo. I think the shadows are among the most important element in this photo because it projects the subjects focus in a natural way and it adds value to the photo. I also like the dark light cast on the walls and behind Jacob, Nick, and Juliana because it makes this photo not dull. I also think the skin tone natural lighting from the left is important because the skin tone isn't overexposed at all and it takes away distractions. I cropped the very top of the original photo because I found the sign above Jacob's head was too distracting to look at and it took away the value of the essence of the portrait. I also like the variety of color the three people have whether its sweatshirts, hair color, accessories, glasses, earbuds. They make this photo appealing to add variety. I took this on my Nikon D3200 without flash, and using natural lighting, and faster shutter speed to prevent overexposure to light.
