AlexBrown_ NHS Induction Ceremony misc
I decided to choose this photo for my miscellaneous post for this week because I think this was one of my favorite photos I have taken for an event ceremony. I like this candid photo I took during the National Honor Society Induction Ceremony I was substituting for Mr. Barry and Mrs. Baril who couldn't make it for taking photographs for the ceremony. I volunteered to take their place and be the designated substitute photographer. I chose this photo out of the 200+ total photos I took at the ceremony because I think this was my favorite photo. I like this photo because it captures a happy candid rewarding moment of an new inductee member of the NHS receiving her NHS membership card by Mr. Ermilio on the stage. I likr this photo because the two important subjects in this photo are the inductee and the administrator handing out the awards. I like this photo because the focus is nice, the colors are balanced and the background behind Mr. Ermilio isn't too distracting because it is balanced. I had to use flash for this photo because the auditorium lighting wasn't too bright to capture this important ceremony. I think this photo is still great because the flash doesn't overexpose any of the people in this photo, which is critical for this type of photo. I also like the happiness in this photo because it adds emotion and feeling to this photo which makes this photo appealing. I also like this photo because it captures a bit of action with a stop motion of Olivia receiving her membership card and also about to shake hands with Mr. Ermilio. I think the most important piece of this photo is the excitement and joy in this photo and the crisp image quality of the people in the photo because if this photo was overexposed I think you would lose a lot of value in this moment. The only thing I wish I could change in this photo would be to not show part of someone else's leg in the right corner of this photo because it might be a little bit distracting for the viewer to concentrate on the award receiving moment in the ceremony.
