Pink Flower_Julianna

I took this photo of a flower that was growing on a flower bush in my front yard. I took this photo because the flower had many different colors and details. I like how the pinks and yellows in the photo blend nicely with one another. I also like how I was able to capture the details in the petals and center of the flower. I also like the focus in the photo. The focus is only on the flower and everything else in blurred out around it which allows the viewer to focus on the main focal point of the photo. I also like how the lighting is not over exposing the photo or taking away from the details in the photo.

  1. I really like this photo for many reasons. First, I think the lighting in this photo is just right because the pinkish red flowers are well balanced and not overexposed by sunlight. I like how smooth the focus is on the flowers because it makes the feeling of this photo to be calm and relaxed. Also it makes this photo nice to look at. I like how you pulled in the lens of the photo up close because it makes it easier to concentrate on the flowers and the branches of the flowers. I think framing the photo at vertical angle brings your eyes directly into the photo and also reduces some distracting objects in the background of the photo. I also like how the depth of field is shallow and centered around where the flower is because it keeps your attention on the flower. I also like how smooth the flower is focused because it allows you to see the textures and petal structures details through the flower petals. This makes your photo interesting to look at because it keeps your eyes focused on the little details of the flowers completely. I also like how the flowers in the background are multi shades of pink because it adds variety to this photo and also makes a nice color contrast as well. I also like how the exposure is on this photo because it keeps the elements of this photo smooth and gentle. I also like the little pollen flowers in the center of the flower because it also adds more depth and detail to your photo. I think with having a blurred out background keeps your attention onto the flowers instead which makes your photo interesting to look at. I also like how shiny and vibrant the pink flowers are because it really grabs your attention and keeps the photo alive. I also like how the light is on the flowers because it makes the flowers have a natural glow to them which makes your photo really nice. I also like how parts of the photo have different amounts of light shades because it adds more contrast between dark and lighter light and it also adds variety to it. I wouldn't change too much of this photo except, I would have shown more of the pollen stems pointing at the top right frame of the photo which is cut off a bit. I think if you showed the top of the pollen stem which is partially cut off I think your photo would be slightly less distracting, but having it partially cut off doesn't really affect the quality of this photo too much. Other than that I think this is an awesome photo. Keep up the good work.

    1. Thank you for your comment. I agree with you that the lighting in the photo is enough so the photo is not over exposed. I also like the different shades of pinks and reds in the photo. I did not notice the pollen stems pointing out of the top of the photo. I did not realize that was a distracting element. I will look out for distracting elements like that, next time.

  2. I love the colors in this photo. I like how the flower in front is in focus while everything else isn't. I also really like the lighting in this photo. It appears to be early say time because there aren't very many shadows at all which I like.

  3. I like this photo, it focused on the flower so I can see lots of details on this photo, I like the colors on this photo, it adds more depth, I also like how you put the flower in the middle so it can let me look straight to the flower not anywhere else, the lighting in this photo was ok, kind dark though, if you can get more light, it would look better, anyway it is a good photo, keep up the good work.
