Daniel_camera on the snow(emergency, make up for last week Sunday post)

I took this photo with my iPhone last week, it was afternoon, I was take a walk and try to find something to shoot, then I have this photo, I put my camera on the ground, and use my phone to take this photo, I focus on the camera so you can see all the detail about the camera, the "Nikon" letter and size of the camera lens, and you still can see the background which is good, the sunlight comes from the top of the photo which I think it was really good, the grass come out from the ground was really beautiful, you can see the grass at front was clear to see, and then the back of the grass is a little bit not clear to see, but still looks good, adds more depth of this photo.

  1. Although this photo was taken by IPhone, it still looks cool. The shallow depth of the lens field makes the background a little blur. The light is very nice and soft,so that there is no shining overexposure point which makes the snow texture very real. The only problme is that you cut a little part of the object while you find the view and make composition.

    1. I see the problem, but I have to cut a little bit because there are some distract things around the object, if I don't cut, this photo will be a not good photo because it's full of distraction, I try to let my photo looks better as possible, so that the reason I have to cut a little bit, next time I will try to take a photo without cut it, thanks for the suggestion.

  2. I think this is a good photo because of a few different reasons. The first reason is you have a good setup of where you wanted to have your main subject of the photo of the camera. The second reason is that you have the subject on the left side of the photo, which allows it to show a background in the photo, this allows the photo to have more of a variety of things in the photo. The third reason is I think the lighting is just right in this photo, I like how the light is reflecting on the flash cap of the camera, on the corner of the camera where the button to capture photos is sparkling from the sunlight. I think that having light cast onto the snow allows the light exposure in this photo to be more expansive allowing more details to the photo. I I also like how the sunlight is reflecting on the ground in the woods, which brings out the colors of the snow as well as some browns from presumably dirt or mud in the background. I also like how the sunlight is reflected on the snow on the ground next to the camera because it is reflecting little sparkles like a crystal, or mica stones would reflect through sunlight. I think that by having these things in this photo creates a good photo to the viewer, allowing him to see many different aspects of things in the photo, without them it wouldn't be as good of a photo. There are also a few things I would have done differently in this photo. The first is that I think that if you had taken this photo with a digital camera you would get more details in this photo regarding the background, of the camera on the left, and a crisper view of the background in this photo. I also would have tried to get the piece of grass out of the way of the camera which was the subject of the photo, it takes away the full attention of the photo. I also would have tried to remove some of the little leaves or grass sticking out of the snow, because it would allow the camera to grab the biggest attention in the photo. I would have tried to have gotten the whole camera in the photo and not cut off any part of the camera on the ground. Another thing I would change in this photo would be the sunlight reflection, the sunlight on the top of the photo seems a bit too harsh on the focal part of the lens in the photo and creates a pixelated distortion to the photo, whereas if it was on a digital camera you wouldn't have the distortion. I also think that you would have gotten a crisper photo all around as opposed to having things pixelated on details. It would have looked a bit more interesting if it was taken on a camera, having a similar setup as this photo. Other than that it is an overall good photo, nice job.
