I took this photo when I was trying to frame the picture for the film portraits assignment. I like this photo because of how it is centered and symmetric. Another thing that I like about this photo is that how the face of the person is off to the side a little as so as the hair and scarf. The thing that I would change the most would be the back drop from being a bulletin board color to a color that constant with the portrait's skin tone and clothes.

  1. I like how you captured this photo, the focus is clear and there is a wide depth of field so we can see the person you took a portrait of. I like how you were able to capture little details like the pink in her cheeks, and the curls in her hair. I also like the background it is not distracting and it goes well with the subject. The only changes I would suggest is to crop the photo up to the persons shoulders because having the arms cut half way is distracting. Also if her hair could all be pushed onto her shoulders, on the right shoulder the hair is in the front of the shoulder, but on the left some of it is tucked behind her neck. Keep up the great work!

    1. Yeah, I consider on cropping the photo like that but I thought that the person and the backdrop ratio was fine and did not want to mess with it. I also did not realize that the hair was a distraction until looking back at it and reading your comment. I felt that the photo was fine and if I tried correcting it, it might make it worse.
