Alford_rings

I took this photo with my Nikon D40. It was my parents anniversary yesterday. So I asked my mom to  put her hand on top of my dad's hand. Their hands with their rings on them (obviously). The first photo I took was to dark. I had to turn the flash on. The flash glowing off of the rings gave the photo a good touch. I also didn't want anything distracting in the background that's why I wanted to take the photo on top of a table.

  1. I like the lighting in the photo, even though you used flash it did not over expose anything in the photo. I also like the focus you were able to get on the rings, it draws the viewer right towards it. The only things I would change about the photo are to crop out the dark area around the bottom right corner and try to get your dads hand all the way in the photo. His hand is cut off which is a bit distracting. Good job!

    1. I did try to get good lighting in this photo and nothing to be exposed. The focus did take a little while to make it look good. I was trying to get a close up and the focus was bad. But I ended up making it look good. And next time I will crop and get my dad's hand in the photo. Thank you for all the compliments.

  3. I like how the lighting in the photo is not over whelming but enough to be able to see the hands and ring. I also like the white counter on one side of the photo and the darkness on the opposite side of the photo. Another thing that I like about the photo is the contrast of the two hands from the skin types to the different kinds of rings.
