Alex_Water Droplets
I took this photo a while ago when we had to do our last 3rd quarter photo assignment. I took many photographs and submitted 8, and this was one of my favorite photos I took from the assignment. I took this photo in the bio lab on the fourth floor. I like this photo for many reasons. First thing I like about this photo is that the lighting in this photo is very dim because it makes the feeling of this photo to be very calm and smooth. I also like how the depth of field and depth of focus is shallow because it keeps your eyes concentrated on the water droplets which are the main subject points of this photo. I also like how the light is shining through the water droplets because it creates a glowing effect on the droplets. This makes this photo look more interesting because it draws in more light into the photo. I also like the different shapes in this photo because the shapes of the water droplets aren't all uniform in shape but instead a wide variety of different shaped water droplets, which makes the photo look more interesting to look at. I also like how the left and right frames on the window glass is dark while the middle section of the photo is brighter lit than the rest of the window. I also like how shiny the water droplets are because it refracts the shape of the natural lighting of the overcast skies on the window. I also like how dim light contrasts with the medium lit light, because it makes the perspective of the photo more interesting to look at. I also like how the texture of the water droplets are because they have a sort of lined and wispy-like texture as the water droplets are falling down the window glass. I also like how the water droplets are also in different sizes because it makes the photo have more variety to it. I also like how low the exposure is because it narrows down the amount of color and detail to it as well. I also like how there is a long trail of a dripping water droplet falling down to the bottom of the window because it draws your eyes into the photo and observe the interesting details of the many water droplets on the window. I also like how the middle part of the photo is the brightest lit portion of the photo because it draws your eyes towards the middle of the photo where the water droplets have different shapes and textures to them, and also where the depth of field is focused the most. I think with having the exposure speed to be lower makes the feeling of this photo to be relaxed and pleasant because it takes away intensities around the photo. Also water droplets in dimmer lit resemble the gentleness of water falling down on glass. I think with having the focus to be shallow and the dim light removes most of the distracting objects around the photo. I took this photo on my Nikon D3200 without flash, using slower iso speeds and lower exposure settings, using natural lighting from the window, and using auto focus settings.

I like this photo because the detail on the. drops is very appealing. Another thing that I like about this is that it isn't just one color by that I mean it's not a typical blue ranger out photo and has some color on the edge to the left and it has nice tone to it too. I also like how you can't really see the background at all is just one color.
ReplyDeleteI like this photo for many reasons, the first reason being how the there's only a foreground and a background. Another thing that I like about the photo is how the foreground is focused and all while the back ground is all blurred out. The long water streak in the middle of the photo adds more drama to the picture as well as the white streak in the background. The last thing that I like about the picture is the way the light is the water droplets, it adds more contrast to each droplet.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your feedback. I agree with you about the detail of the water droplets makes this photo very appealing. I also agree with you that it isn't only one color because it makes this photo more interesting to look at. I also agree that its not a typical photo because it has some colors along the edges of the photo, it sets the tone of this photo to be nice and smooth. I agree that with the photo being dim and the background of the window to be blurry that you can't see the background makes this photo not distracting. I also agree with you that it is mostly one color because it makes the photo have lots of contrast of light amounts and color contrasts between lights and dark shades of color.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with you that this photo has only a foreground and background, and it makes this photo unique and different. I also agree with you how the foreground is focused while the background is blurred out because it keeps your attention on the water droplets instead of being distracted by possible objects outside through the window. I also agree with you about the long water streak makes this photo more dramatic because it brings your eyes down the photo and catches your attention. I also agree with you about the white streak in the background on the window makes this photo more dramatic and interesting to look at. It does make this photo more dramatic and it adds a feeling to this photo. I also agree that the water droplets adds contrast to this photo because some of the water droplets are sparkly, and some are dark and some are different shapes. This makes the photo more interesting and it does add more contrast to each of the water droplets on the water droplets. Thanks for both of your feedback.
