This is another photo that was taken in Boston. I made the photo black and white because this way I personally think it looks like an older photo taken in some kind of village type place. It also highlights the photo's color contrasts from darker to lighter.
I like how you were able to capture the different details in the buildings, the black and white filter you put on the photo highlights these different textures. I also like the black and white filter because like you said it makes the photo look like an older photo of Boston. I also like the contrast in the dark's and lights in the photo, the contrast adds more depth and detail to the photo. The only thing I wish you did was post the original photo along with the photo with the filter. This way the viewers can compare both photos and see which one they like best. Good job!
ReplyDeleteI really like this photo for many reasons. First thing I like about this photo is the candid nature of this photo. I also like how you desaturated this photo as a black and white photo because it makes your photo look like a vintage photo from the 1970s. I also like how everyone who is walking in this photo is not paying attention to anyone and doing their own thing. I also like the lighting in this photo because it isn't too harsh and it doesn't distort the colors of the people's clothes and the buildings in the background. I also like how the ambience of this photo is because it shows how busy the photo is at the specific time of commuting day traffic. I also like how you positioned this photo towards the center of street because it makes the perspective line in this photo centered in between the two buildings in the background of your photo. I also like how contrasty this photo is because you have a good variety of colors in grays, whites, blacks, silver in this photo. I also like the natural shadows of the people walking through the street because it adds more depth to your photo and it adds more contrast as well to your photo. With the shadows being short lets you know the photo was taken during mid day when the sun was higher up in the sky. I also like how many objects are in this photo for this type of photo because it draws your eyes all around this photo rather than looking at one particular object. The only thing I would have changed in this photo would have been to crop out the guys hat that is popping out of nowhere in this photo on the left frame of the photo because it slightly distracts the focus of this photo. Other than that I wouldn't change anything in this photo. Nice job. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteI like how you made it black and white. I agree it does make the photo look older which is a good thing. I also like the angle of this photo. It almost looks like mirroring, sets of flowers with buildings next to them. Nice job
