This object is called lucky cat, which comes from Japan. Lucky cat's golden color gives eyes a attraction, and the reflection makes the rest part of this photo rich in content. Its usually be put on the desk of the lobby like this one, so that everyone went through will see it, it's shaking hand for wealth and happiness income. I noticed that the cat with the reflection background gives a really good looking with composition, and I took this photo.
I think this is a really cool photo. I like that the lucky cat is the only real color in the photo because the background is mostly just white and pale colors and although there are more colors on the photo, most of it is on the lucky cat which in my opinion pulls the attention to it. Like you said the reflection is a really cool addition to the photo because I think it gives more to look at. I also like how the lucky cat and the table are in focus but then everything in the background is not in focus because once again it pulls attention to the luck cat. The lighting is also very good on this photo because you can see everything and there is no harsh shadows. so yeah good job.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your careful comment, I really agree with you which the lucky cat as the main object on this photo has the only and most bright color, it's one way to make composition by color. Because of the backlit light make the auto focus cannot work,so I manually focus on the cat and it turns out a sharp in focus photo.
DeleteI really like this photo for many reasons. First thing I like about this photo is the angle how you took this photo at a sort of semi low angle because is draws your eyes into the photo. I also like the perspective how you took this photo with putting the cat on the shiny glass table because it allows more dimensions to this photo. I also like how you can see the reflection of the lucky cat through the glass on the table because it adds more dimensions and depth to your photo. I also like how the glass on the table is transparent because it makes your photo more interesting to look at. I also like the lighting in this photo because it is just right and it is casting through the window and the lucky cat from the left. I also like how glittery the cat is because it adds more variety and texture to your photo which makes your photo really interesting to look at. The only thing I would have changed in this photo would have been to blur out more of the background outside of the window and not shown the hanging object on the window because it distracts the focus of the lucky cat. I also would have moved your camera to the right because the outside gate is distracting to the cat. Other than that I think this is a really cool photo. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your careful observation. In order to get a good composition, I changed the place of the lucky cat on the table many times. So that I can get the reflection, background and main object looks suitable on photo. I really agree with you about the blurry part. The out of focus part is definitely not blurry enough, but due to my lens aperture limit, next time I will do some post process. Thanks for advice.
DeleteI really like this photo, the angle in this photo looks really good, and the reflection of the lucky cat through the glass on the table was really a good job, because it adds more depth in this photo, and the focus which can let me saw lots of detail in this photo, the background in this photo were really good too, it looks very clean and no distracting, really good photo, keep up the good work.
