Catherine Ning- Portrait 2

This is a photo I shot in the hallway during the class time. I made the girl standing in front of the blurred window which allow some light coming to her face. I like the highlights on her forehead,on the eyes, the cheeks and the lip. However, I suppose the wall is a little ugly, and obviously the white shirt is not the best choice to take portrait.

  1. This picture is really nice! Her smile adds to it, and she looks like she is happy to be getting her picture taken. What I would have done differently is that I would've moved her over more so that the glass was completely behind her, and I would have gone somewhere or taken it at a different time of day so that there would be less light. Since too much light is hitting her,it made her shirt very bright and her face shiny.

  2. I really liked this picture! Her makeup is well done to compliment her eyes and lips and work as a nice contrast against her skin tone. Despite the 2 different backgrounds I really like the glass one and think it gives for a nice allusion. She is very photogenic and there wasn't any hotspots or blur present which made for a good picture!
