Teddy_Sunset Sky

I took this photo a while back when I was in Newport, Rhode Island with my Nikon D3200. I really like this photo for many reasons. I took this photo a minute or two after the sun had set for the day. The first thing I like about this photo is the many varieties of colors in this photo, the colors of the clouds in the sky give off greens, pinks, oranges, reds,  blues, yellows, purples, and grays. I also like how the pier in the middle ground gives off a silhouette shadow in the photo. I also love the setup of how I took the photo, there aren't any major distractions in the photo which makes it a great photo to look at. I also like how the sailboats are almost perfectly aligned with each other along the water where the masts of them are almost equally leveled with each other. I also like how the sailboat tie-up posts in front of the pier are equally replicated four times to create an illusion of a never-ending repeating effect. I also like the calmness of the small waves of the water which makes the photo look like a painting. I think the wispiness of the clouds in the sky is one of the most interesting parts of the photo. The only thing I wished I could change would have been to have not gotten the little pole in the bottom right corner of the photo and the post in the top right of the photo.

  1. I like how the photo is split between the dark ocean and the bright sky with the pier. I also like the orange sky contrast with the blue sky and the dark blue water. As well as that all the objects are all dark with no detail and colored black.

  2. You didn't have to do anything to the photo you have a good eye though. I really like the colors in the sky and although it doesn't reflect of the water that much, it creates a nice mellow shadow on the water and a nice shadow on the dock. I also like the fact that there are all these figures of shapes like the doc has an x shape, towards the top in the middle of the photo there's different widths of lines from the boat and the doc.
