Julianna_Holiday Photos
I took these photos of Christmas decorations my family had. The first one is of one of the ornaments we had on the tree. I like how it is clear and in focus. I also like how you can see the tiny sparkle details that are on it. The only thing I would change about it is how there is a tiny over exposed part on it. I tried to get rid of it by taking the photo at different angles, but the over exposer was worse. The second photo is a photo of one of the lights we had on a string of lights we had hung on the mantel. I like this photo because you can see the tiny details in the light and how it brightens up the background. I also like the contrast in textures. The light is smooth and shiny while there is rough woven cotton in the background. The only thing I would change is the shadow in the corner. I tried cropping it out, but if I cropped it all out I would have cut off some of the light along with it.

I like the first photo because of many things, I like different places where the lighting is in this photo, I like the colors, and that there isn't any major distractions in the background. I like the how the light is reflecting on different parts of the ornament on the metal top, the bottom of the ornament and the right side of the ornament. I like that the background is out of focus to allow the attention to the ornament. I like the different colors of green in the background from the tree, the different shiny metallic colors on the ornament. I like the coloring of the top to the ornament is partially tarnish to allow different variations of metal colors of gold and copper. The only thing I would have changed with this photo would have been to have gotten the whole ornament in the photo, and to have the whole ornament in focus. And I would have changed the exposure of it to prevent overexposured hotspots as you mentioned. Other than that it's a great photo.
ReplyDeleteIn the second photo I love the lighting in this photo. I think having the extreme close-up of the light from the mantle allows the photo to have a deeper feel of illumination from a Christmas light filling the background with detail. and revealing more colors. I like how the light is sparkling towards the camera. I also like how it is casting so much light on the red and white fabric cloth in the background to allow more quality to the photo. I think that by keeping the background in the photo it allows it to be more interesting of photo to the viewer. I like that the Christmas light and the cap is in total focus, it grabs the attention to the Christmas light. I also like the little flare of blue and pink reflecting from the Christmas light to the left side of it. I don't think I would have changed anything in this photo. It's a great photo, keep up the great work.
I like the focus on these two photos, it looks really good, two photos are really clean too, I like the shine on the ornaments, it looks really cool, the second photo is ok but if the wire can be removed, it will look better, anyway both are really good photo, keep up the good work.
