These are my late posts. The first photo I like because I tried to get the person shadowed out like so, it took me a few tries but I like having the sun behind him. If I could go back, I would try to have the other people on the ends not be there and only have that one person be the focus. This was taken in Maine.
The second photo is Boston, if you couldn't tell. I didn't do anything to this photo but the scenery was fantastic. I was going back to the car and there was a garage opening and all you saw was this. I like the time of day because you can see the reflection off one particular building very well. I don't like the boat to the right of the photo as much though, I would go back and shift the camera over to the left a little bit so that the boat wouldn't be part of the picture.
The third photo is in the cape. My family decided to have a day trip because it was a nice day and even though it was winter, there wasn't snow visible. The person in this picture is my brother and I took a picture of him looking out on the ocean while I was looking at him looking at the ocean. Its a simple photo but I kind of like it because its simple.
The last photo is a picture of my dad. I was at his office at Boston college and the light was really good out of this window so I asked him to stand in front of it so I could show the shadow off of his face. I think there's a lot of distractions in this which I realized only after I took the photo.

I really like these photos. In the first photo I really like the lighting in the photo because the light source is behind the person and near the bottom of the frame. I like how he blocks most of the sunlight which makes an awesome silhouette effect to your photo. I also like how he is up close in the photo making him look larger than the background of the water. I also really like the first photo because the horizon line is perfectly aligned because it makes your photo look nice. I also like the variety of colors in the sky because it makes the photo interesting. I also think with the reduced light in the photo makes this photo look professional. I also like how almost all of the photo is like a silhouette because it makes your photo nice to look at. I also like the third photo for a number of reasons. I like the candid nature of this photo with the boy looking through binoculars out on the cape. I like how long the depth of field is in your photo because almost everything is in complete focus. I think the lighting is good in this photo because the beach is well balanced for color and the colors aren't overexposed from the sunlight. I also like how the photo has third person point of view and perspective capturing the boy looking through the binoculars and you can also see what he is probably looking at through the binoculars. I also like how the colors of the beach have multiple shades of tan, brown and yellow because it adds variety to your photo. The only thing I find distracting in your third photo is the dog appearing on the right corner of the photo because it throws off a little bit of the perspective nature of the photo. I also like your fourth photo because of the framing of the portrait, because the height of the photo is taken from his shoulders up. I like how half of his face is shadowed because it contrasts with the illuminated left portion of his face which is well lit. I like how his left eye is in crisp focus and the light source is reflecting from the left side of the photo. The only two things I would change in this photo would have been to turn the camera more to the right because the shade wand is popping out on the left corner of the photo which distracts the focus of the portrait. The other thing I would have changed in the photo is that I would have reduced or increased the shutter speed because the lighting of his skin tones are a little bit too harsh and overexposed. I think if you increased or reduced the shutter speed the lighting of the photo would be less harsh on his face. Other than that I think these are interesting photos, keep up the nice work.
