I took this picture a few days ago in class. It is a picture of a book I was reading. I like the second picture more than the first picture. The first picture has three distractions, the fan, computer desk, and the paper underneath the book. There is shadow between the pages and in the background. I think the picture looks better in black and white. It adds some mystery into the picture. If it were in color then it would have been a random everyday picture. The focus in on the book and pages. The surface and background is blurry. It adds depth to the pictures.

For me, I think your picture has an advantage of taking abstract images. Like the pages side of it, it make the picture like a imagination. But if i take this picture, i will take more colors into this picture. So, i will be appreciatedto take my suggestions.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment. I actually agree that the pictures would likely look better in color instead of black and white. It was a candid picture that I took. I was playing with the color settings on my camera . I didn't put much thought into these two pictures.

ReplyDeleteI like both of these photos but the one on the bottom is probably my favorite out of the two only because it have a little more stuff to look at. Some people may think that is a bad thing because it causes more distractions but in this picture specifically I think having some stuff in the background adds a nice touch. The focus is also really great in both of these photos.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment. I see what you mean by how my second picture doesn't have much. Also how the distractions actually help make the first picture more interesting. In the first picture some of the words in the book and writing on the piece of paper are visible and read-able while my second picture doesn't have any words visible from within the book. The second one is very boring and plain. I appreciate your post very much. You helped me realise that some distractions and background things are good for a picture.
