Kim Stuart- Misc. picture
The picture I chose for this weeks misc. post is a picture of Fall colored leaves on a tree at my cousins house. I liked how it clearly represents the coming of the Fall season and how there are still some green colored leaves that have not yet changed. I took this picture with my Nixon camera in the morning on Saturday. I thought the reds and oranges were especially bold in this picture.

Catherine Ning-Still leaf
This is a photo that I took on the way back to my home. This a a kind of close photo which I like it a lot. I move the leaf to the right a little bit in purpose so that it looks better. The photo was shot on about 2 o'clock, therefore the light is really bright and there is a shadow at the bottom of the photo. You can see the shade of grass on the leaf, which makes the whole picture more interesting.I think this is the most amazing photo that I have ever taken.

Catherine Ning-Leaves
This is a photo that I took on last weekend. I just picked one branch from the nearby tree and raised it to the sky. The leaves have turned to orange or red, and the light is very bright, so it makes some good shadow on the right. I also like the colors of the picture. The leaves are orange, yellow and red, which are warm colors. The background, which is made of varies kinds of blue colors. They are cool colors. As a result, the colors make a perfect comparison.

I like the design of this picture, the water mix the face, let the face become more prominent, makes the photo more beauty.
Kim Stuart- Portrait picture makeup 10/16
This portrait I found while walking around the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts. I really enjoyed this picture considering it had so much going on, aside from the portrait of this young boy itself, yet it all seemingly tied together. I can not stress enough how in love I am with Boston and this portrait captured a piece of what I enjoy most about the city, the art and graffiti of the streets and how self expression and color expressed all throughout this city comes from someone with a story, much like I am sure this young boy that is being portrayed must have too.

This an image of a monk, most likely praying, in the wilderness. Not only am I fascinated by buddhism but I also really enjoyed the colors and background imagery of this picture. When looking at this picture you have not only the monk to look at (whose face is nicely shadowed and genrally portrayed), but also a beautiful water way of which animals are drinking from. Wherever this place is modeled after would most likely be where you could find me 30 years from now.

Kim Stuart- Misc. picture

This is a picture I took in Boston Saturday morning. Not only do I love Boston but I love the artwork throughout the city. Even the little things about Boston such as telephone booths or electric outlets, etc. are covered in art/ graffiti. Everything about this city is so personalized and creative I felt the need to capture a bit of it.
Portrait photo 2 - Lara Dias
This portrait came up when I looked up dance portraiture. I like how the light is coming from one side and there are lots of shadows in the image. I also really love the simplicity of the picture. I used to dance so this picture intrigued me and made me think of my past. It also showed me that portraits are not just of faces, they can be full body portraits.
Portrait Photo 1- Lara Dias
This photo is of Marylin Monroe shot by Richard Avedon. Avedon shoots a lot of black and white portraiture. The way he shoots portraits really draws me in because of the facial expressions he gets out of people, they are always very raw and emotional pictures. I've shot pictures inspired by his work for a project in 8th grade once and I just fell in love.

This is a photo I shot in the cafeteria, when my classmate is buying lunch from Mrs.Rad.My classmate,Keren, wearing a cheerleading uniform that has "mustang"on it,and Mrs. Rad also wear a marian uniform.I realize that the spirit of Marian not only exists when we have some big celebrations,it is always there in mustangs' everyday life. What I dislike is, i forgot to charge the light,so it looks a little vague.
This is a photo that I chose first."Black and White"make the photo more sophisticated. The old man in black has a white beard, which make the photo more interesting.plus, the wrinkles on the man's face help to show the whole picture. However, I think that the greatest part of the photo is also the look of the man.He seems that he sees hope suddenly, that get me choose the picture.
This is a photo I found on line. The reason I picked it is that I think the picture is interesting for it is not about the whole face of the lady, but it marked the extraordinary eyes! And and I suppose the color of the lady's eyes match the color of the scarf, that are both blue. And the blue color make me feel peace. The photographer also manage to show the eyes perfectly. It seems that she is staring at you through your heart.

This picture was taken by my iPhone earlier this year in April. I was on a trip with my school, where we went to Peru. This was taken near the end of the trip when we went to Machu Picchu. It was a rainy and foggy day, the clouds were out which allowed for a very beautiful picture. The fact that we were at an extremely high altitude allowed me to capture multiple of the Andes Mountains, with the other buildings and plants in the foreground. Although this picture is beautiful, it does not compare to how it actually looked in real life, sadly.

Catherine Ning-Jesus's embrace
This is a photo I took in the school campus.I usually watch Jesus horizontally, but I have never looked at him in this way. I think it is pretty interesting. So I just put the camera on the ground and shot this photo. What I dislike is, there is space on the bottom that is useless.

Kim Stuart- Misc pic for 10/2/16
For my misc. picture for this weeks Sunday blog I chose this picture of my cup of tea. I took this picture around 10am last Thursday and felt that it symbolized the season of Fall. Fall is my favorite season, of which I can drink hot tea and lattés and wear a lot of layers. I took this picture with my camera and believe that the reflection, along the over all theme behind it, made for a pretty cool picture.

Lara Dias - My Dog
This is a picture of one of my dogs that I took a couple days ago. I love the way that his fur looks under the light. The light that he was under was a very bright LED light that changes colors, and since it was on the brightest setting it made his fur appear really white. I like taking pictures under this light because its brighter compared to my lamp which gives off a more yellow type of light. I also liked how his face is in focus and the background is a blur, I think that is what makes this picture so special and nice to look at.
