I took this photo of my lava lamp at night to practice taking photos of lit objects in the dark. I really like this photo just because of the amount of light I was able to capture from it, as well as the numerous shades of orange. I especially like the really bright light emitted from the bottom of the lamp, and that even some scratches on the glass managed to show up in the photo as well. The only thing I would have liked differently is one of the bubbles in the middle, but I would have lost the right bright light down at the bottom
I really like how you captured the light in this photo. The different shades of orange and yellow really make the photo pop. I also really like the background, there is nothing distracting about it and it complements the photo. The only problems I can find with the photo is the bubble in the middle like you said is really bright. I also wish there were more lava bubbles in the photo than just a couple. Good Job.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, yeah I really wanted to get more bubbles in the photo

DeleteI like this photo because of how the lava lamp is projecting an orange glow on the wall. Also i like the position you put the lava lamp (to the side). Another thing the two "blobs" in the lava lamp are in focus and it shows movement in the photo.
ReplyDeleteI love this photo, Andrew! I'm very impressed with the composition! I love the vignette (darkened edges), especially because the lava lamp isn't centered in the light. The contrast is great, specifically inside of the lamp, which is your main focus. The photo sets a very surreal tone. I could see some hippie staring at it, cross-legged, and saying "woah, far out, man."
