I took this photo at Marian during Photography class. I really like how the different textures of the bird show up, especially the difference between the feathers and the beak. I'm really happy that I was also able to get a highlight in the eye of the bird, that way it looks more lively. The one problem I have with this photo is the blue in the window in the back, but at the same time it adds a nice diverse of color to the background.
The focus is very crisp and clear. The background is not distracting at all and actually compliments the gray bird. And I also like how you focused on the eye, it does make it more lively.
