Kim Stuart- Sunday Post

This image I took while watching my dog at Simpson Park in Framingham on the Sudbury River. I thought this picture was interesting because it appears like I am standing in the water. I also thought this was a good image considering the how lighting is shining on the water, clearly showing the downward motion of water over the stone decline.

Catherine Ning-Sunday post

This is  photo I took recently. It becomes hot these days and I shot the flower on a nice afternoon. It is  easy to focus on the flower, but difficult to focus on a single flower when there are hundreds of flowers around and they are distracting. There are a lot of details of the flower, too. It looks like spring.

Over this past April Vacation I took it upon myself to go into Boston (I know how surprising and unexpected.) This picture I have taken was At Castle Island. I am extremely blessed to be able to have such history in basically my backyard. This city is so raw with culture and history, in different ways, throughout each and every street. I liked how the sky looked so bright and blue in this picture, and that there are only the tips of the cannons present.

This is a traditional  Chinese "window flower". Chinese people stick it to the window to pray for the good fortune next year. I shot it on a nice weather and bright light came thought the window which makes the red color lighter. The frame of the window is also interesting and made the photo artistic.I hope it really bring something for next year.

Lara Dias- Sunday Post

This is another portrait from my term project. There are highlights in her eyes and natural highlights in her hair. She's in focus and the background is blurred. Overall I think this was a good shot, I just wish that the colors in the image were warmer.

This is a picture I shot in Natick Mall. There is a bunch of red gift boxes on display and I shot it. The reflection on the glass on the left is really obvious. I changed the size again to make the boxes less distracted. The light is really good, so I can take a better photo of the boxes.

Kim Stuart- Sunday Post

I went over my friend's house this past weekend and decided to take yet another picture of his pet lizard that I love with all of my heart. Despite the fact that I don't think he really liked me taking this, I thought his face being the main attraction and the background being more blurred made for a good picture. I also thought that the lighting allowed for the different colors within his body to come out nicely. Ultimately, I think this lizard is quite the model and is very photogenic, in the right lighting and angel.

I think I shot this image on Tuesday while it was raining. I thought it looked really cool when I looked out from my window, so I opened the window and took a few pictures. I like how there is a lot of reds and brown from the wet leaves and trees. Although I wish the image came out crisper, I would've had to use flash to avoid the blur but I didn't like the idea of using the flash to shoot a picture in this situation.

This is a photo I took recently. I like it because the picture itself fits the requirement to be a good black and white photo and the black and white mode gives it depth. I like how it is focused and you can almost see the salt on the table. I also like the lightened part of the bottle which makes the picture more interesting.

Lara Dias- Makeup post 3/26 makeup

This is also another picture I shot while working on my term project. It doesn't go with the theme of my project, but I think it was a good picture of her hair. The sunlight was hitting her hair and accentuated her natural highlights in her dirty blonde hair. I think that there might be too many distracting things around her to allow her to be the main subject, but I really like how her hair looks in it.

Lara Dias- 9/2 post

This is a picture that I took for my term project, but decided not to use because I don't think it focuses enough on the subject, which is my friend, Becca. I like how she matches with the car behind her and the light catches in her eye. The lighting is really good too since I took this image outside. I think it is a good image, but has a lot of distractions in the background.

This was a picture I took in Boston during the time I was working on my "Urban photography" project. This picture was taken inside the Faneill Hall market on the upper eating level. Though I did not think it was "urban" enough to incorporate into my project I was involve with this room. I thought the windows were interesting and added greater aesthetic to the old, historic theme to the atmosphere. I liked the symmetry and the overall theme of this market place and I thought that each and every part of this room made for a good picture (despite my sisters big hair being in the way.)
