Catherine Ning-Light

This photo is spotted near a dam around dusk. I love this picture because I think it shows the mutual colors perfectly, which are white, yellow,pink and blue.Plus,  I enjoy the reflection of the far mountains. Reflection is also "Light".The only flaw of the photo is, the normal line of the reflection is not perfectly overlap with the horizon.

This is a photo that I took near my house in the morning. I especially like the shadow on the path. I thought that shadow is a good friend of light. So i picked this photo in the sunny light.What I do not like is that I think i did not get the whole bushes on the left, and I the tree on the right took up too many area. Generally speaking, I like it.

kim Stuart- "light"

This is a picture I captured of true, natural light. I took this picture at the Sudbury Gristmill around mid-afternoon. I thought this picture, out of all of my others, portrayed the result of the sun glowing in the wilderness the best. You can truly see the Gristmill with it's boldest colors, during the mid-day with this lighting. The greens seem so much greener and the contrasting of color shades allows for a beautiful image.

Lara Dias - Light

This photo shows sunlight coming through the window in the staircase of the Marian building. This was the first thing I spotted when I walked out of the classroom to look for things to shoot for the assignment "light". Before I spotted this, I didn't know for sure what I was going to shoot for this assignment, but this gave me an idea of what to do. I also like that its natural light, and not light coming from a lamp or any kind of light fixture. As soon as I took this photo, I knew it'd be the one I would post.

Joao Da Silva - Light

This is a photo from the bottom floor and you can see that the sunlight is really bright and the halls are exposed to a lot of the sunlight. Other than the lights from the ceiling, I really like how the sunlight reflects off the floors and walls to brighten up the hallway. I also like how that the sunlight is so bright that you can barely see the top of the door frame. This is why a picture so basic as a hallway really stood out. To me at least.

This is this a picture of Marian, I am a new student here ,I think this school is very beautiful,I love the school environment here,I know will become cold in the winter,but is also have fantastic pictures I can take.I took this picture on my Phone.

Kim Stuart- "Start of School Year"

This is a picture of the outside of Marian, from the parking lot. This was taken around noon time, with my iPhone. I thought this angle allowed for a more modern look on Marian. The window paneling appears to be the type one might see on an apartment complex in the city. I am now able to see Marian with a different perspective, one different than what I might have thought about it's appearances before taking these "Start of the School Year" pictures.

This is what I think of when someone says "start of the school year". I think of the trees losing their leaves and green plants turning into orange. I took this photo from my iPhone. I think this really looks nice because of everything I was able to catch in one picture. The little river, the dead tree's and there are so many colors in this picture and I really liked it. This was taken before sunset so the sun gave it a little bit of light that made it look really nice. But it doesn't appear as much in the photo. But this still looks really nice.

Lara Dias - Start of the School Year

I took this photo of my backpack earlier this week as I was experimenting with my camera. It is a backpack, which goes along with the theme of "start of the school year". I took it later in the afternoon, around 4-5 p.m. which gave the picture a faded, contrasted kind of look due to the lighting, which I love about it. I absolutely love faded, pale, contrasted pictures, and they are usually the type of pictures I am drawn to shooting, which is one of the reasons why out of all the photos I shot for this assignment, this is the one I picked.

Kim Stuart- Test Post

 This is a picture of a telephone booth in China Town, Boston during the mid-afternoon, on my iPhone. Boston is probably my favorite place in the world, I have been to China Town hundreds of time and it never seems to get old. Despite the 500 other pictures I had of this part of Boston I decided this picture was my favorite because I thought it was the most aesthetically pleasing. I had to write my name inside this booth and make my mark as well considering there is something about stickers and graffiti in the city that I love so much. No matter the time of day, season, weather, or even the appearance of a simple telephone pole China Town, Boston is just so beautiful to me.

This is my dog Max. I took this on my IPhone. I took multiple photos and combined them into one collage. I took this when I was a bit younger but for some reason others think that this was a really nice collage and in some cases people said it looked professional. These pictures show multiple emotions and I think that is one of the main reasons I love this collage so much.
