What dads do_Rosa Ruiz

I just chose photo because the photo shows very interesting picture. My dad through basketball him to knock down the ice on my house and it ended up getting stuck in between my window and the ice. I like this photo because it shows how crazy New England can be sometimes.  I also like this photo because it shows the harsh winter and the dark colors from the clouds shows the effect of winter.

I took this photo of an icicle that was melting. When I saw this I wanted to try to capture a single water droplet. After a lot of tries I finally got a photo of one. I used the manual setting on my camera and I pushed rapid shooting in order to get this. I love how you can see reflections of the trees in the water droplet itself. I also love how there are many highlights and there are rainbow colors in it too. I edited the photo by cropping it so you can see the water droplet better and I auto-enhanced it. I adjusted the cool setting slightly in order to give it a colder effect.

I took this photo a couple blocks from my house. I like how you can see the blue sky to the right, the dark green tree in the middle, and the yellow leaves to left. I think that this photo has a really good range of colors, there aren't too many but there are just enough. I also like how there is a lot of light on the road.

Andrew_Candle

I took this photo of a melting candle at my house.  I really like this photo because of the highlights I was able to catch around the web-like pattern on the candle.  I also really like this photo because there is a feel of depth in the photo as shown with the highlights in the background.  Lastly, I like this photo because of the effect the candle had on the web design, making it glow a little and create some different shades of red and orange around it.  The only thing I would change is trying to get the flame a little bit clearer, but the one photo I had the wed design came out blurry (the candle is now fully melted so I don't have the pattern anymore)

Katie_Winter Trees

I took this photo in my backyard. I liked the crisp focus the trees had, and the white snow on the green pine trees create a more "classic" (I can't think of a better word at the moment) atmosphere. The lighting is also really good and subtle, especially in the middle. There are not a lot of harsh shadows from tree branches

Julianna_Test tubes

I took this photo of my test tubes that I used for my science fair experiment. I like this photo because of all the details you can see in the container that is holding the test tubes. I also like how it kind of looks like this test tubes can go on forever. I really like this visual effect. I like how the test tube caps are not in focus, and add color to the photo. I think that if they were in focus it wouldn't look like it goes on forever.

I took this photo of my host parents' cat when I was walking around in the house. I really like this photo because this is the first photo that he looks at the camera.

I took this photo at the window of my room. I really like how the snow on the roof looks like it is bind with the snow on the ground.

I took this picture of this lamp post in my living room. I liked the structure of the lamp, as it is very symmetrical. I also liked the pattern on the base and in the middle. What I don't like is the lighting on the left side of the wall is much brighter than on the other side. Also I took the photo a bit crooked.

Andrew_Light Bulb

I took this photo of a fluorescent light bulb in my kitchen because I wanted to test what would happen if i tried to take a picture of a lit item like a light bulb.  I really like this photo because of the depth in the photo as shown with some of the coils being shown behind the front of the light.  I also really like this photo because it has some minor highlights around the front of the light bulb.  The only thing that I would change is trying to darken out the base in the very back.

Cool_Flavia

I was walking on a path near my house when I saw a few trees that had vines growing in and around them. The position of the tree in the photo is in the center which makes the tree the center of attention. I also like how the background is blurry and the main tree (and some of the vines near it) are clear. I was very happy that I got some of the falling snow in background of the photo. The only thing I wish is that there was no little branches in the (bottom) front of the center tree.

I took this photo in front of my pellet stove. I like this photo because of all the layers you can see in the fire and the little design on the sign in the middle. I also like the different colors in the fire such as the oranges, yellows and whites. I think the background compliments it. The only thing I would change is the whiteness in the back to the right. I could not get that out of the photo. I think it may be dirt in the stove. Other than that I am proud of this photo.
